If you do them all and you're still out of luck, you may be running one of those non-revenue generating sites. 1. Determine if your visitors are "in the mood" As I mentioned at the top of this article, some websites just don't work with pay-per-click programs. • Sites where users go and wait to buy something while they are there. Ecommerce sites fit the bill here. • Sites where users search for specific information about something they want to buy now. You don't have to be selling this kind of thing; your site may simply be a mecca for information related to these things. Then when the visitor gets to read your content, they are more likely to click on your ads. • Sites where people with disposable income and a credit card want to visit. • Sites that attract a large number of new users every day. • Sites that people who expect to read advertisements go to. Classified ads and shopping comparison sites fall into this category. 2. Make sure your visitors don't feel like you just want their money. Provide them with lots of well-written and relevant content. If writing is not your best skill, hire someone to do it for you. Good content generates consistent traffic, and consistent traffic pays the bills. 3. Follow the rules Google has very specific Terms of Service (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to participate in its AdSense program. Learn those rules and follow them so you don't lose your entire investment by being foreclosed. 4.
