Google AdSense and blogs

Blogs are not only the hottest thing on the net right now, they're tailor-made for Google's AdSense program. Why? It's simple. Blogs represent new and ever-changing content for Google's search engine spiders. Feeding those little spiders fresh is like throwing raw meat at a tiger. They just swallow it. It doesn't take long to see which ads perform best when you have comparative statistics almost side by side. It is very easy to set up Google AdSense ads on your blog. Everything you need to know is within the Google control panel. What's not so easy is figuring out which ads will appear on which page. Since Google is focused on your keywords and your blog articles possibly drift to any topic, you never know what you will get.
Well, "never" is a strong word because there is actually a way to pretest your blog postings before publishing your most recent issue. This is what you do:
- Enter your AdSense code and then post your most recent page to a subdirectory that is not part of your blog.
- Click update multiple times until Google kicks in and starts serving ads.
- If you don't like what you see, adjust the article until you see the types of ads you are looking for.
With some ads paying up to $ 5 per click or more, I would certainly spend an extra 30 minutes tweaking my blog. That is sure.
